This time of year, we start feeling like we are on borrowed time when we have good weather. We try to get out as much as possible while we can. This weekend we went to the last outdoor farmer's market in Eau Claire and walked along and over the river. Then we went over to Rod and Gun Park. named for the street it is on not because of hunting. We went there for MOMS Club and wanted to show daddy. The playground was too wet but we walked along the lake and little ponds and streams. It was so pretty.
The next day we drove to Hoffman Hills State Recreation Area. The woods were so pretty. It would have been gorgeous a couple weeks prior. The leaves would have been perfect. We went on a couple mile hike up to a lookout tower. Some of it was pretty steep. Jack walked the whole way. So proud of him.
The tower was *so* high up (60 feet). You could see for miles and miles.
My legs were shaky at the top. I was clutching Jack's hand really tight. The height didn't bother anyone else.
