Green Bay Weekend

April came to Wisconsin for a family reunion so we went out to Green Bay to see her.  We drove down to Madison on Wednesday because John had to work there.  The kids and I went to a farmer's market, out to brunch, and then the Children's Museum.  We have definitely gotten our money's worth from our reciprocity museum membership.  Every time we go to the Madison CM we do something different.  It wasn't as crazy as some of the other times so the kids got to spend as much time as they wanted at each activity.

Wednesday afternoon, we drove up to Green Bay. We got a hotel off Priceline that was supposed to be 3 stars but was barely 2 stars in our opinion.  The only redeeming quality is that they had 2 big watersides (pretty worse for wear) that Jack had a great time riding.  He didn't want to leave the hotel the next day.  

Thursday morning was the Green Bay Packers shareholder meeting.  Jack and John are shareholders. They had 1/2 the stadium open including the newer atrium.  It was pretty full, 14,759 attendees.  We had a good time walking around.  The meeting started at 11 am, but the kids were done shorty after it started.

Heather, Ray, and Kayleigh drove out on Thursday to see April, too.  It was  mini Massachusetts reunion.  We just needed Juli and Mat.

The kids had a great time playing with April's cousin's kids.  Jack and Jake really hit it off and were inseparable the whole weekend.  On Friday, we went to Bay Beach Wildlife sanctuary.  They had lots of animals native to Wisconsin (bears, wolf, otter, cougars, deer, etc) and a really good nature center.  Then we went to Bay Beach Amusement Park.  They had lots of kiddie rides for only a quarter.  Jack had a great time.  Alec slept though half of it but when he was awake, he enjoyed the rides.

At the NEW zoo in Green Bay.  A pretty decent zoo.  Alec did not sleep well the previous night so we were about done for the weekend.  We went straight home after this.
