Visiting Nana and Granddad

Our trip to Florida didn’t start off on the best note.  We were delayed over 1 hour in San Diego because of lightning in Las Vegas.  We were stuck in the plane on the tarmac the whole time.  Then our flight in Las Vegas was delayed over 1 hour which was good because it was the last flight to Orlando.  Unfortunately, we had planned the plane trips to be at nap time so naps were all thrown off.  Jack was good but Alec was *really* tired.  We finally got to Nana and Granddad’s around 1:30 am.

We’ve been having a great time relaxing and hanging out with Nana and Granddad.  Jack’s favorite thing is riding the golf cart around the neighborhood.  Jack went fishing the first night and caught his first fish.  John didn’t take a picture because he was too busy with the fish and making sure Jack didn’t fall in. :(

Alec is really on the move.  He gets up on his hands and feet and his hands and knees.  He ends up moving backwards most of the time but it’s a start.

We also went swimming.  It was Alec’s first time swimming and he loved it.

Jack swam a lot and got thrown in!  Fun!

Every evening Jack and Nana go do the yard work, trimming leaves.

We drove over to Homassassa Springs to see the manatees and alligators.  We took a boat ride there and it was a lot of fun.  The only down side was that Alec screamed the entire drive there (75 min) and back.  So we will be hanging around the neighborhood for the rest of the visit.

We went to the library and the park yesterday and we are going again to story time today.
