President's Holiday Weekend

We had a 3 day weekend this weekend and for the first time in a long time, we were not sick!

Saturday morning Jack and mom went to Gymboree music class.  After nap, we just ran errands.

Sunday, we went to Balboa Park.  Jack enjoyed walking around and looking at the Koi pond and fountains.  He also liked looking at some rescued parrots and some break dancers.

Jack and mom rode the train next to the zoo.  He seemed to enjoy it but mom got motion sick.

 We also hung around on the grass and trees and watched the planes come in low to land at the airport.

On Monday, we went to Rancho Penasquitos canyon to go on a hike.  Jack was in the hiking backpack for about 30 seconds before he wanted to get out and walk.

When we got to the stream, we spent a lot of time tossing rocks in.

 He also had fun climbing trees.

We got a little further down the stream and watched sticks floating down the stream. 

They were also doing some construction and Jack got to see lots of diggers and bulldozers.  He got to sit on a little roller.

It was a fun weekend!
