Hot weekend

This weekend it was unseasonably hot.  It was over 80 degrees!  Saturday we went to Gymboree in the morning and then played in the backyard in the afternoon.  Jack's naps were all messed up so we didn't really go anywhere.

Sunday we crammed in the activities.  In the morning, it was heating up fast so we went to Lake Poway.

Jack was going to feed the ducks but they were a bit aggressive.  Mommy fed them and was a bit nervous.  The big goose came over and would only eat if you fed him the bread.  He wouldn't eat from the ground.  He seemed pretty tame but you never know.  I've been attacked by swans and the geese at Miramar Lake will "goose" people.  The other birds were super aggressive and stole the other 1/2 of my bread slice.  

We climbed up some steep hills.

We played in the playground.  Jack insisted on climbing *up* the baby slide.  He almost made it but he didn't know quite how to pull himself up on the landing.  He is *such* a boy.

After his nap, Jack took his first trip to Sea World.  He loved it.  He would probably have spent the entire day watching the penguins or the sea turtle or beluga whales.  We bought a pass for 2012 so I'm sure we will be back many times.
