We've been bad about updating so here's what's been happening the last month. Jack has been unstoppable. He has never stopped moving since he was born. Since he started walking it's been even more nonstop. He has been working on his fine motor skills. He can put the rings on his stack poles. He can put megablocks together. He loves pulling things around by a string, toys, shoes, whatever. He helps mommy get him dressed. He's even been trying to put his shoes on! He *loves* books. He wants them read before school and before bed. His teachers say he "reads" to himself at school. He knows the right side up and he turns the pages at the appropriate times. He will even point things out when you ask him where they are. He'll point out the caterpillar in "Hungry Caterpillar". He absolutely loves trucks, tractors, firetrucks, boats, airplanes. He points them out when we are out. He has a book of nothing but pictures of them and it's his favorite. He loves leaves. He has to pick them up and hold them by the stem. There are some pictures below with him holding leaves. His favorite words are "this" and "that" and he now says "es that?" (what's that?) I just realized I filled a paragraph of things he loves and I can't think of anything he hates. Not much fazes him. He has his daddy's temperament.
Here is Jack at the Wild Animal Park and the Zoo. We have passes so we go occasionally for a couple hours. He loves pointing at things. There are several pointing pictures below.
At the petting zoo
Pointing at a giraffe at the Wild Animal Park
Pointing at something
Almost kissing a goat
Checking out the bear
At Miramar Lake, looking at ducks and geese
At the Mother Goose Parade in El Cajon the Sunday before Thanksgiving. We saw Phil Donahue!
At Torrey Pines Beach. It was 90 that weekend at our house. By the time we went to the beach it was a bit cold. We didn't stay that long.
Pointing again
At Poway Lake, looking at ducks.
Playing at Poway Lake, holding a leaf.
At a Christmas tree farm in Ramona. They had a petting zoo, pony rides and free cider!
We didn't really like the Mission Pines so we ended up buying a precut one from Washington after all.
