Alec is 6 months and we go to Wisconsin

Alec had his 6 month check up on his birthday.  He was 16 lb 2.3 oz, 25.5 inches long, and 43 cm head circumference.  Alec is now fully crawling.  He started September 21st in the airport just like he sat himself up for the first time in the airport.  What is it about traveling?  Maybe all the pent up energy.  So  he was happy being able to move for about a week and now he is really frustrated that he can't stand.  He is now pulling himself up.  We don't have any low tables so he crawls over to me or a step and pushes himself up to a little stand.  Or he crawls to my hands and wants me to help him stand... and then lets one hand go!  He will be an early walker for sure!

We went to a field trip I organized for my MOMS group.  We went to the Helen Woodward Animal Center.  It's a no kill shelter.  They have educational programs for kids of all ages.  They have everything from rodents to horses.

All the kiddos listening to the teachers talk about animals and dogs.

They had lots of birds, frogs, and reptiles in this room.  They got to pet a guinea pig.

They had to use 2 fingers to pet the bunny.  Jack is holding the rest of his fingers so he uses only two.

Petting the mini horse.

We went to Wisconsin to find a house.  We saw a lot of houses but we fell in love with one.  Jack also felt the most at home in this one.  It had a blue room (that was his criteria).  Also he felt so relaxed that he pooped there...twice.  We move in Oct 23rd!  We have to be out of our house Oct 20.  It is going so fast!

Playing in the hotel room.

We went to a harvest festival at a tree farm.  They had a tractor ride, petting zoo, lots of bounce houses, playgrounds, etc.  Jack spent a lot of time riding the tricycles around the track too.

Tractor ride.

Park play date.  The kids learned about flying.  We made paper airplanes, kites, and played with stomp rockets.

Alec and Vivian hanging out and chewing on things.
