Happy Mother's Day

For Mother's Day, Jack made mommy a card with his hand print on it at school.  We went to a yummy breakfast place in Solana Beach.  Then we went for a long hike in Torrey Pines just like last Mother's Day.  We walked a big loop along the cliffs.  Then down to the beach and then back up.  Jack rode in the back pack on daddy's back. 

 When we got down to the beach, Jack got out and walked around.  We looked at the different shells on the beach.  A big rock had a lot of tide pools with sea anemones and mussels.  There were a lot of crabs running around too and they really freaked Jack out.  There was a lobster claw and tail on the beach that mommy held up and showed him but he didn't want anything to do with them.

  Due to the rhythm of walking back up the cliff, Jack could not keep his eyes open even though it was only 10 am!  I think I have the same picture last year.

It was a great morning.  Not sure what we're going to do the rest of the day.
