4 weeks old and Daddy's last weeks off of work

So John finally wore me down and got a new camera.  It's a DSLR and he's been taking 1000s of pictures.  A lot of them are pretty good so there may be a few too many pictures on the blog for awhile. However a lot of them are out of focus or someone has a stupid look on their face.  Unfortunately it's up to me to go through them.  Before John went back to work we went to the Safari Park to see the Butterfly exhibit.  Jack really liked it.  We have a buncha pictures of butterflies but none were good of us so I'm not going to post any.  We also went to the Carlsbad Flower Fields.  We've never been there and we thought Jack would like the tractor ride.  There are acres and acres of ranunculus flowers there. It was really pretty and Jack did like the tractor ride.

Alec is now 4 weeks old.  He's about 9 lbs (by my bathroom scale) and ~20.25 inches.  So he's gained 3 lbs from his lowest weight (6 lb 1 oz) in 4 weeks.  Not bad!
