Alec Ryan Pick was born Sunday, March 17 at 9:20 am and weighed 6 lbs 12 oz, 18.5 inches (but measured 19.5 3 days later), and his head was 13.5 inches. This was a scheduled C-section since he didn't want to come out on his own. It went really smoothly. We showed up at 7 am, got prepped and ready, and went right in. He aspirated some amniotic fluid into his lungs when he was coming out but they suctioned it out and he was ok.
Why did you take me out? I was cozy in there!

Jack visits Mommy
Jack meets his little brother. He's not sure what to think. They both have their finger in their mouth.
Jack bought Alec a little football and Alec got Jack a fire truck and police car from Disney's Cars movie.

My recovery was much easier this time. I was up and showering the next day as soon as they let me. There was some incision pain but not bad. Alec was a good sleeper and pretty easy right away...so different from Jack. I wanted Alec to get checked out by a lactation consultant to see if he was tongue-tied like Jack, which he was. It took quite a number of phone calls and some help from the lactation consultant but we got Alec to the ENT to get his tongue clipped. Other than that, he's been pretty easy.
