Jan & Feb activities

It's been a bit on the cool side and rainy lately.  We've been doing some indoor things.

Jack and mommy went to the Ruben H Fleet Science Center.  Jack liked some of the exhibits but he really liked the under 5 area.   He liked "driving" the trucks.  He also liked putting balls in a bunch of vacuum tubes that sucked the balls up and spit them out elsewhere.

We also went to the mall a couple times to ride the train and play in the play area.  They also have a Totally Thomas store that has a train table.

Unfortunately the Monday after going to the Science Center and the mall, Jack got pinkeye. :(


Last weekend we went to Cabrillo National Park.  They had a whale watch fest there with lots of kid related activities.  He got to color pictures of whales, touch whale baleen, and see shark eggs and starfish.  We also went in the lighthouse.  We didn't see any real whales though.

Mostly we hang out around the house and play cars or choo-choos.  Daddy and Jack like to ride the "helicopter" and tricycle in the house.  They usually chase each other or ride the helicopter together.

Jack also saw both Cars movies a couple times as well as Mater's Tall Tales (hundred's of times).  He is now obsessed with Disney's Cars. He carries around Mater "train cut" (tow truck) and "race car."  Mommy just put the Cars sheets on his bed and that was the greatest thing ever.

Jack has been talking about his little brother.  He knows his little bother is a baby in mommy's tummy.  His little brother is going to ride next to him in cars.  Jack really wants an orange Jeep that daddy will drive and his little brother will sit next to him.  He mentions that daily.

Today we skyped with Nana for her birthday.  Jack sings Happy Birthday almost daily but he wouldn't sing today.
