Getting ready for Christmas

We had a good Thanksgiving weekend.  Mommy made a big turkey dinner.  Jack would only eat stuffing though.  We hung around the house most of the weekend.

We went to the beach since we got some really warm weather.  Jack dug holes in the sand a bit and then wanted to play on the playground.

Jack now thinks it's funny to close his eyes for pictures.

The next day Jack and Mommy went to the zoo.  He wouldn't walk so his poor mommy had to carry him around while 6 1/2 months pregnant.

We went to a Christmas party at John's coworkers' house.  They have a little girl, Adelynn, and invited their play group over.  Jack hung back a little while but then went crazy running around with the other kids.  Then Adelynn was trying to give Jack kisses.  I don't think Adelynn's daddy was too thrilled about that!

Jack is loving the Christmas season.  He loves seeing Christmas lights and will point them out while driving around.  We go out to see different streets that are all lit up.  Here we are at Candy Cane Court. We got a Christmas tree last weekend and Jack has spent every day rearranging the ornaments on the bottom half of the tree (the non-breakable ornaments).  He has a Christmas concert next week and has been practicing his songs.  He's best is Jingle Bells.  He loves singing and will frequently sing to himself.  His favorite song right now is Twinkle, Twinkle.  He can sing that by himself. He's also quite good at ABCD and Baa, Baa black sheep but still needs a little help with those.  He also likes singing I will wait by Mumford and Sons.
